Biography

Tahmineh Mousavi is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Occupational Therapy in the School of Rehabilitation Sciences at Tehran University of Medical Sciences (TUMS). She completed her PhD from the University of British Columbia in Rehabilitation Sciences in Vancouver, Canada. Her research has concentrated on the Capabilities Approach as a meaningful basis for conceptualizing the needs and rights of people with disabilities. Her scholarly interests range widely, from Occupational Therapy to Community-based Health, Rehabilitation Sciences, Ethical issues in Healthcare, Poverty and Inequality, Health Promotion, Global Health, Social Justice in Healthcare, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and Elderly.
