Abstract

According to data from the Alzheimers Association a health organization in Alzheimers care, support and research, an estimated 5.7 million Americans are living with Alzheimers dementia in 2018, from those 200,000 individuals under age 65 are younger-onset Alzheimers. The government and society are been confronted with a huge health problem. This disease is the only top 10 cause of death in the United States, its hard to say because of the prevention still unknown, as well as the cure and an estimate growing number of people with Alzheimers by 2050, will be about 14 million. This number contemplates people of different ages, both males and females. Because there is still no cure, it becomes relevant to be detected as soon as possible in an attempt to delay the process of disease. Due to the diversity of the population with Alzheimers, it is important to verify this disease with qualitative and quantitative variables along with MRI images, in order to contribute to the confirmation or not of the disease. In this research, we use ADNI (Alzheimer's Disease Neuroimaging Initiative) database that can provide MRI images of patients with Alzheimer disease or without NC (Normal Controller) beside it will add qualitative variables such as sex, age, and quantitative variables such as CDR (Clinical Dementia Rating), MMSE (Mini-Mental State Examination), GDSCALE (Global Distress) and NPI-Q (Neuropsychiatric Inventory Questionnaire) in a total of 1320 subjects (patients) that will generate about 105600 images. Our deep machine learning model consists of a CNN (Convolutional Neural Network) that joins with a regression that uses qualitative and quantitative scores variables. This model will compare the class labels and clinical score labels to classify the images of the disease and the score.
